Ohio Plein Air Society’s 20th Annual Competition

The Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS) will be holding its 20th Annual Competition on Sept. 24, 2023, on the grounds of the Mansfield Art Center, 700 Marion Ave, Mansfield, OH 44906. This organization consists of artists painting outdoors. The participating artists will paint all over Richland County for three days prior to the event, painting landscapes, historical scenes, cityscapes, farms, etc. On the fourth day, the artwork is judged by a professional artist. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding paintings.A Wet Paint Show is open to the public on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, 10 am – 2 pm, at the Mansfield Art Center pavilion. There will also be a Quick Draw Competition where artists will complete a painting on location from 10 am – 12:30 pm. At 1:00 pm awards will be presented.
There will be high-quality artwork on display by well-known artists. Depictions of Richland County done in oil, watercolor, and pastel mediums will be available for viewing and sale.
