MANSFIELD — Fares Fares now owns the business that he first bought tires from.

“Right after I got my license, I bought tires from Hamad Tire here,” he said.

Fares bought the property at 395 Park Avenue West in October 2023 after Hamad Tire closed.

He celebrated a Mansfield Tire Bros grand opening with his staff and community leaders on June 27.

“It took us a little bit to get our systems up and running and stock inventory, so that’s why we’re doing the grand opening now,” he said.

Fares lives in Columbus but has run businesses around Mansfield for about 12 years. He previously owned the M&S Drive-Thru and currently owns the 261 Lexington Avenue Drive-Thru.

“I also own the Boost Mobile store in Ontario, a few in Columbus, one in Ashland and one in Medina,” he said.

“Cell phones was my first business, and now I’m getting back to my first love, which is cars,” Fares said.

The entrepreneur said his favorite type of car is a Maserati or “any type of truck.” There are five employees at the Park Avenue location including Fares.

“I’m thankful for this opportunity to bring back a staple of the community and deliver honest work to our customers,” the owner said.

Fares said customers can expect to be greeted by one of two shop dogs when they visit — either his golden retriever Finn or his brother’s pitbull boxer mix Cookie.

Mansfield Tire Bros specializes in tires and rims, but also offers custom installations for lift kits and lighting, as well as general repairs for HVAC maintenance, brakes, shocks and more. The business also offers free safety inspections for vehicles.

The shop’s operating hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers can follow the business on Facebook or reach the shop at 419-709-8973.
