Carla Jean Johnson, 58 years old, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Carla was born in Mansfield, OH on November 2, 1965, to her proud parents, Fred and Bonnie Elkins. Carla retired from Richland New Hope Industry where she worked as a Workshop Specialist for 22 years; caring, training, and preparing special needs adults for the work force.
Carla loved to spend time with her family, friends, and her four-legged companions, especially her Bella Boo. She enjoyed taking trips to Amish Country, going out to dinner, and making Christmas cookies with her grandkids (before the flour fights began). Carla was a strong woman that was quick to tell you what was on her mind, with the biggest heart and a great sense of humor.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Elkins; sister, Julie Lambert; daughter, Danielle (Charles) Stinehour; four grandchildren, McKenzie (Zeke) Zirzow, Jaden, Charlize, and Nick; one great-grandchild, Aurora Zirzow, and one on the way; boyfriend, Mark Fitzpatrick of 15 years; two nieces, Tia Sipe and Paradise Hilty; three great-nieces, Torey, Remi and Ellie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, Fred Elkins.
Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
