Ontario graduate Charles Danuloff was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Rumpke.

CLEVELAND — Recent Ontario High School graduate Charles Danuloff is one of the 2024 Rumpke Waste & Recycling Scholarship for Richland County winners.

This scholarship awards $1,000 to two graduates in Richland County, Ohio pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution, including vocational/trade schools.

Winners are chosen based on their commitment to their academics, environmental stewardship and desire to serve the community.

Charles earned college credit from North Central State College during his last two high school years. Charles plans to attend Miami University and obtain a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting and finance within four years.

After college, Charles aims to work in finance.

“I hope to help businesses assess and manage risks to ensure the financial wealth of the community I work in,” Charles writes in his application essay. “I also want to advocate for and support environmentally friendly investment projects.”

Danuloff’s value for work ethic and financial independence comes from his part-time work and volunteer experience in different programs with his school and a local senior citizen center.

“We admire (his) unwavering dedication to his academics, community and financial literacy,” said Rumpke Regional Vice President Dane Miller. “We are proud to support aspiring financial professionals with our scholarship opportunities.”

Congratulations, Charles. We wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors!
