BELLVILLE — Luke Schlosser will wrestle in college, but his baseball exploits won’t soon be forgotten in The Valley.

The North Central Ohio Pitcher of the Year, Schlosser was virtually unhittable this spring. He was 8-1 with a 1.16 earned run average and 92 strikeouts in 54 innings of work.

What’s more, the hard-throwing left-hander led Clear Fork to its first district championship since 2017. The Colts fell to eventual state semifinalist Parma Padua in the regional semifinals.

The two-time Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Schlosser was a Division II All-Ohio honorable-mention selection as a utility player for a second straight year. He will wrestle at Campbellsville University, an NAIA school located in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Schlosser is the ace of a staff that combined to go 41-9 with a 1.74 ERA and 451 strikeouts in 316.1 innings pitched.
