Louise Nolen, age 91, of Shelby, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 15, 2024, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

She was born December 12, 1932, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to the late Hattie (Knipp) and Theodore T. Edmiston. Louise graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. Her true vocation and love was being a homemaker, wife and mother to five children. She was employed as an office assistant at Beckley-Cardy, retiring after 10 years of service. Louise was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of Mansfield Faith Assembly.

Louise is survived by five children, Ted (Connie) Nolen, Roy “Gene” (Cindy) Nolen, Terri Nolen, Barb (Jerry) Grove and Michael (Mary “Miffy”) Nolen; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Doug) Tackett; and many cherished family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dolson Nolen; granddaughter, Nicole Britt; a sister, Betty Dyer; and a brother, Donald Edmiston.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park with her brother-in-law, Pastor Doug Tackett officiating. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
