Rhonda L. Moore, 66

Rhonda L. Moore, 66 of Ashland passed away peacefully Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born In Ashland, Ohio on May 9, 1958, the daughter of Robert R. and Dorothy N. (Tarr) Crossen. She had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life, growing up in Polk, where her mother still resides. Rhonda was a graduate of Mapleton High School, class of 1976.

As a child, Rhonda attended the Polk United Methodist Church with her parents and brothers. Growing up in a small town where everyone knew each other, lifelong friendships were made and many wonderful memories are now cherished among those friendships.

Rhonda was always the caregiver of the family and of others. Before her retirement, she was a laundry aide at The Kingston of Ashland. Her ever present smile was her trademark and even if she was having a bad day, that smile would always come thru. When her granddaughter was going thru a very rough illness, Grandma was there every step of the way to make her days the best they could be. Her final gift was her corneas, which will help two blind individuals to see again. She always freely gave of whatever she had to give.

She is survived by her daughters, Danielle (Bryce) Moore and Allison Briggs of Ashland; her sons, Justin (Nicole) Briggs and Dustin (Kaleigh) Snyder of Mansfield, eight grandchildren, Braylon and Strawberry Briggs, Brenton and Audrey Murray, Karson Snyder and Aubree Belt, Maleigha and Gemma Beck; her mother Dorothy Crossen of Polk; a brother Chris (Kathy) Crossen of Jeromesville along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Crossen on February 15, 2009, brother Roger A. Crossen on November 17, 2018 and niece Breanne Crossen on March 4, 2020.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Trudy Bates presiding. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 to help cover the funeral cost.
