Juanita was born on November 19, 1940 to Margret Heimlich in North Robinson, Ohio. After being raised by her grandparents, Juanita and Gerald Garnder, she grew to have two daughters of her own and obtain a degree in nursing. Juanita was successful in becoming a traveling nurse and being the first LPN in Ohio to be IV certified. Juanita retired after severe medical complications in 2013 but still held her license for an additional seven years. She refused to give up on anything her heart was set to.

Juanita was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother, baby sister, and both of her daughters (Tahmineh and Michele Heimlich.) Regardless of these hardships, she continued on.

Juanita is survived by: some close friends, her nephews Todd (Kathy) Bonsky and their children, Chris Bonsky and his children, her granddaughter Jesse Heimlich, and her two great-granddaughters Athena Heimlich and Sarah Ballard. Her great-granddaughters were her best friends; she was so happy to be a part of their lives, holding their hands, making memories, and loving them with all of her heart, until she passed to be with God on May 2, 2024.
